8(a) Business Development Program

Sterile Services has been certified in the 8(a) Business Development Program for nine (9) years, effective January 2nd, 2018.

The 8(a) Program offers a broad scope of assistance to firms that are owned and controlled at least 51% by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. The 8(a) Program is an essential instrument for helping socially and economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs gain access to the economic mainstream of American society. Sterile Services in collaboration with its business partners will leverage the opportunities provided by this program for key strategic growth for the company.

DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, 49 CFR Part 26)

State: Virginia

The Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (VDSBSD) has approved the certification of Sterile Services Co. as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) subject to the requirements of the DBE Regulation 49 CFR, Part 26 and all the laws of this state applicable to the transaction of business. Sterile Services has been certified in the following NAICS Code(s): 425120 – Wholesale Trade Agents and Brokers 541611-Administrative Management and General Management Consulting 541618 – Acquisitions management consulting services 561110 – Office Administrative Services 561320 – Temporary and Contract Staffing Services.

HUBZone Small Business

Sterile Services has been certified a HUBZone company. This level of diversity certification referring to the Historically Underutilized Business Zone program that helps small businesses located in distressed areas gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities. Sterile Services in collaboration with its business partners will leverage the opportunities provided by this program for key strategic growth for the company.

Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB)

Sterile Services has been certified as an Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) for the Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program (WOSB Program), as set forth in Title 13, Part 127 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE), Sterile Services application for reverification has been approved. Sterile Services Co. will remain eligible to participate in Veterans First Contracting Program opportunities with VA as a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). This verification is valid for three (3) years.

NYC MWBE

State: New York City

Sterile Services has been certified for the NYC MWBE. The City of New York Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) Program expands opportunities for minority and women entrepreneurs to access government contracts and grow their businesses. When eligible businesses are certified with the City they become more visible to prospective buyers, including City agencies and private contractors seeking to purchase goods and services.

Women’s Business Enterprise WBENC WBE

WBENC Certification validates that a business is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. This means one or more women must have unrestricted control of the business, a demonstrated management of day-to-day operations, and a proportionate investment of capital or expertise. To become certified, business owners undergo a thorough vetting process, including review of business documentation and a site visit.

SWaM (Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business)

State: Virginia

The Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM) certification program is a state program of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The purpose is to enhance procurement opportunities for SWaM businesses participating in state-funded projects.

Sterile Services Corp. is certified as a New York State Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) through the New York State Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development. This certification supports supplier diversity initiatives and provides SSC with access to New York State procurement opportunities reserved for eligible veteran-owned businesses.

Port Authority of NY & NJ MWBE

Sterile Services Corp. is certified as a Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
